Hello Families,
Here is our last weekly update of 2018:
1. Upcoming Dates to Note
- December 20 – Last day to order Pizza/Cookies for January
- December 21 – Pajama and Stuffie Day
- December 23 – January 6 – Winter Break
- January 7 – First Day Back to School
- January 7– Registration is Open for Gr. 1 French Immersion (for SK students at www.wrdsb.ca/french )
- January 24 – Team Jersey Spirit Day
- January 24 to 31 – February Pizza/Cookie Orders Open on School-Day
2. Last Call for JANUARY Pizza/Cookie Orders: Pizza/Cookie orders for each Thursday in January are due by today on School-Day. No late orders will be accepted. Also a reminder that any cash payments must be submitted in exact change to the office by 3:30 today. Unpaid orders cannot be processed. You are welcome to call the school office if you have any questions – 519-742-1848.
3. Friday is Pajama and Stuffie Day – Wear your jammies to school on December 21st and bring your favourite stuffie along too!
4. Final Call for Lost and Found – This is a final call for item pick-up from the Williamsburg Lost and Found. Any left-over items will be donated to charity as of Friday, December 21st.
5. Food Drive – A huge thank you to our generous Williamsburg staff, students and families! Together we filled 59 boxes that added up to 1000 pounds of food for the Food Bank of Waterloo Region. This means that we collected enough food for hundreds of meals that will go out into our community. This is by far the largest amount that we have ever collected!
We also want to thank Ms. Mic and her awesome team for coordinating the Food Drive at Williamsburg. We are better together!
6. HERO GEM UPDATE – Our focus this month has been on safety. This is a great time for families to review how to stay safe while playing in the community over the holidays.
