Hello Parents,

Here are this week’s updates:

1. Book Character Costume Day at Williamsburg – Tomorrow – Friday October 30th – Come to school dressed as your favourite character!

2. Pumpkin Contest at Sobeys – Over 2500 votes were cast at Sobeys for our Pumpkin Decorating Contest! We are pleased to announce that Room 14 (Sherlock Holmes) is the winner of the contest and will be receiving a class pizza party very soon!  2nd place goes to Room 4 and 3rd place goes to Room 27. Congratulations to all of our classes for your creativity and hard work!  Be sure to check out the pictures on our school website displaying the winning pumpkins that are still currently on display at Sobeys.

3. Office Notes

– Arriving On Time to School – We encourage our students to arrive on time each and every day. School begins at 9:00am and students need to be lined up outside on the tarmac no later than 8:55am.

– Attendance Check – Please call our Attendance Check Line at 519-570-8146 x3766# any time that your child is absent or late for school.  Be sure to leave your child’s name (and spelling of the name), classroom and reason for the absence.  Your commitment to helping us keep track of our students is greatly appreciated!

– Parking Lot – A reminder to parents that there is no pick-up or drop-off for students in the school parking lot before or after school.

4. Pictures – Photo orders are due by Monday, November 2nd.  There are 2 ways to order:

– On-line at  http://www.edgeimaging.com/en – Select “Order Online” and use the codes provided on the proof sheet OR
– Complete the paper order form and send exact cash or cheque to school with your child
