Let’s Read is a Waterloo Region-wide program that encourages families to read together! Each year, a different book is selected for families across the region to share.
This year’s book is Snow Day, by Werner Zimmermann. Two brothers celebrate the joy familiar to all Canadian children, as they delight in the outdoors during a perfect “snow day”. Students in Waterloo Region DSB schools may borrow the book from their school library.
This year’s annual kick-off will take take place on Sept. 21, 2013 at the Word on the Street Festival in Kitchener. The event will be held at Kitchener City Hall and Civic Square. Visit the Let’s Read Tent in the Kids Corner for hands-on fun, reading, and laughter.
The goal of Let’s Read is to get the families of Waterloo Region reading – reading the same book, reading together as a family, and reading together as a community.
