In an effort to engage students in small environmental initiatives that can make a big impact, Williamsburg is participating in a week-long Waste-Free Lunch Challenge (WFLC) beginning on Monday October 21st. The Waste-Free Lunch Challenge is a province-wide initiative run by the Recycling Council of Ontario (RCO), in partnership with the Carton Council of Canada. Winning classrooms or schools could earn great prizes including: $1000.00 for their school’s environmental projects.
