PLEASE CLICK THE BLUE TITLE ABOVE TO READ THE FULL ARTICLE – Williamsburg will be participating in the Waste-Free Lunch Challenge again this year from October 20 to 24. It is our goal to reduce the amount of garbage produced school-wide and to educate children about what can be recycled/composted and how it helps the earth by reducing garbage. Our ECO team will be auditing throughout the school on a daily basis during that week.
Parents are encouraged to use a reusable lunch kit, refillable bottles for drinks and to avoid prepackaged single-serve portions if possible. It would also be helpful if students pack sandwiches, muffins in reusable containers. Any cutlery sent can be reused or washed. If a single serve container is used, please ensure it is recyclable.
