Williamsburg Parents, we are very pleased to inform you of our continued efforts to develop various aspects of our school’s playground. As you will have recently noticed we freshened up the tarmac games, which the children are now enjoying. In the next week will be re-installing our school’s running and standing jumping pits. A second outdoor shed will be arriving at the end of the month and we look forward to purchasing equipment for students to use while outside during nutrition breaks. We are also excited to have 8 new trees planted on our playground. Two of these trees will be much larger in size and will be surrounded by wooden platform decks for the students to sit and enjoy the shade. Also one of the large trees will include 4 planting and sand troughs around the platform for classes and students to utilize. We appreciate the soon to be delivered wood chips donated from Kitchener-Wilmont Hydro to enhance our garden areas.
Thanks to everyone for their assistance in helping to make this year’s playground initiatives happen. As always we appreciate and thank our wonderful School Council Members, School Staff and supportive Parent Community for all of your efforts.
