1. Open House Postponed – Our Williamsburg Open House that was originally scheduled for tonight (September 10th) is postponed due to the Teacher Work to Rule Action. We are hoping to re-schedule the Open House at a later time.
2. Williamsburg Website – Keep Up to Date! Follow any new posts that get added to the Williamsburg website by going to http://wlm.wrdsb.ca/, scroll to the bottom of the page and add your email address in the box under “Get News From This Website” and click Submit
3. Attendance – Please call our Attendance Line (519-570-8146 x 3766#) and update us anytime your child is absent. The Attendance Line is available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. If your child is being picked up for an appointment throughout the school day, please inform both the teacher and the office. This allows us to have your child waiting for your arrival in the office.
4. School Council – Join us for our first School Council Meeting of the year on Monday, September 21st at 6:30pm in the Library. Nomination forms to run for an elected position were sent home on Tuesday. Please return those forms to the office if you are interested in an executive role. We would love to have new members – all are welcome to join us.
5. Registering New Students on School-Day – School-Day Registration Letters will be sent home the week of September 14th for any students not yet registered on School-Day. Please contact Laurie Starra at laurie_starra@wrdsb.on.ca with any School-Day questions.
6. Milk/Smoothie Program – In partnership with Remember Me Inc., we will be continuing with our “Milk/Smoothie Program” again this year. This will give families the option to order milk (white or chocolate) or a Yop Yogurt smoothie for their student(s) any day of the week. All orders can be conveniently placed on the Remember Me Inc. website at www.remembermeinc.com . Families with an existing account need to log in and re-create their child’s profile as all data from last year gets erased and we want to ensure that orders get delivered to the correct 2015-2016 classes. Families new to Williamsburg are encouraged to log on to the easy-to-navigate Remember Me website and create your child’s profile. Milk orders for the months of September and October can now be placed. All online orders must be made by 5 p.m. at least 2 school days prior to the delivery of the milk. If there are any question or concerns about your child’s milk order, please contact Marlene at RMI at 519-620-0303 x 1 or you can email her at mdoolan@remembermeinc.com.
7. Pizza and Cookies – We will begin the online ordering process for Pizza and Cookies at the end of September. Stay tuned for more information.
8. School Info in Planner – Please read the front pages of your child’s planner for important Williamsburg information.
