2. Staebler Student Insurance – Please visit our school website to see details about purchasing Student Insurance. (http://wlm.wrdsb.ca/2015/09/15/student-insurance-staebler/) While participation in the program is voluntary please consider the importance of acquiring student accident insurance. The insurance being offered will provide students with excellent medical and dental coverage at a reasonable cost.
3. School Council – Join us for our first School Council Meeting of the year on Monday, September 21st at 6:30pm in the Library. The September Agenda and Minutes will be posted on the school’s website. The following nomination form(s) were received for the 2015-2016 School Council elected positions:
– Chairperson – Erin Jamieson, Jennifer Bertelsen
– Treasurer – Sue Lawrence
– Secretary – open
Voting will take place at our first meeting this coming Monday. All are welcome!
4. Williamsburg Morning Announcments – Parents, we post our daily announcements on our school website; this is an additional way to help keep you informed of our day to day happenings. 5. Stay Informed – Information regarding the updated Health and Physical Education Curriculum is available from WRDSB by following this link: http://wlm.wrdsb.ca/2015/09/03/2015-health-physical-education-curriculum/. You can also check out more curriculum information the Government of Ontario website: http://www.edu.gov.on.ca/eng/curriculum/elementary/health.html. These links will be filed on the Williamsburg school website as well under Parent Info for your future reference.
6 . Label Everything! Please place a label in your child’s clothing and lunch bags etc so we can return it to them instead of to the Lost and Found.
