Hello Parents,

Here are this week’s updates:

1. Upcoming Dates to Note:

– November 20 – Anti-Bullying T-shirt Day (Wear pink or black.)
– November 23 – Kindergarten Vision Screening
– November 30 – School Council Meeting at 6:30 pm in the school library

2. Anti-Bullying Week:
We have learned a lot about Anti-Bullying this week at Williamsburg.  Staff and students are asked to wear their Pink or Black Anti-Bullying T-shirts tomorrow (or to wear other pink or black clothing) to support our Tribes philosophy in treating everyone with respect and kindness. “Be the change you wish to see in the world!”

3. Reminder Note for JK/SK Parents about Vision Screening:
All Kindergarten children at Williamsburg will participate in vision screening by Lions Club experienced volunteers on Monday, November 23rdIn the event you do not wish your child’s vision to be screened, please send an email to Laurie Starra (laurie_starra@wrdsb.on.ca) or put a note in your child’s Zippy bag requesting that your child to not be included by the end of the day today (Thursday, November 19th).

4. French Immersion Info Sessions for SK Families – Reminder:
A reminder for parents/guardians of children in senior kindergarten about the upcoming information sessions to learn more about French programs in the WRDSB and the registration process for Grade 1 French Immersion.  Information sessions have been scheduled as follows:

Registration for Grade 1 French Immersion will begin on Thursday, January 7, 2016 on the Waterloo Region District School Board website at www.wrdsb.ca/french. We encourage you to attend the session that best suits your schedule. All sessions will be held in the Cambridge Room of the Education Centre, 51 Ardelt Ave. Kitchener. Information brochures detailing the web-based registration process will be available at all information sessions and can also be accessed on the board website.
