Hello Parents,

Here are this week’s updates:

1. Upcoming Dates to Note:
Feb 8 – 12 – Kindergarten Registration for Birth Years 2011/2012
Feb 15 – Family Day Holiday
Feb 19 – Report Cards Go Home
Feb 24 – Pink Shirt Day for Anti-bullying – see note below
Feb 26 – PA Day – No school for students
Mar 11 – Move-A-Thon Fundraiser – see note below
Mar 14 – 18 – March Break

2. No Stopping or Parking on Commonwealth Crescent:

Parents please refrain from dropping off or picking up your children in front of the school.  Yesterday, the By Law Officer who regularly assists with helping to keep all of our children safe was injured by an aggressive driver while writing up a parking infraction.  Collectively we need to assure that everyone is following the city street bylaws.   Thank you for your attention to this important safety reminder.

3. Waterloo Pink Shirt Day – February 24:

Students are encouraged to wear pink or their black/pink No Bullying t-shirt on Wed. Feb. 24th.  The staff and students recognize that it is extremely important to appreciate everyone in a kind, respectful manner every single day of the year.

4. 8th Annual Move-A-Thon:

We are excited to announce our 8th Annual Move-A-Thon is coming on March 11th to Williamsburg P.S.  Thanks to our extremely generous school community who financially support this fundraiser.  We look forward to continuing to develop our school playground and also funding classroom trips with the funds raised by this School Council Fundraising initiative.

5. Featured Classes:
