Hello Parents,

Here are this week’s updates:

1. Pizza/Cookie Orders for March/April due by Thursday, March 10th

Our next round of Pizza/Cookie orders are now open on School-Day.  This ordering period covers the weeks of March 24, 31, April 7, 14 and 21 and will be taken on School-Day ONLY from today until Thursday, March 10th. Be sure to click the Products tab at the top of the page in order to access all the weeks in this ordering period. No late orders will be accepted.  See the How-To-Order Guide below for step by step instructions for ordering.  Call the school office if you have any questions – 519-742-1848.

2. Move-A-Thon

Our school Move-A-Thon fundraiser will be happening once again on Thursday, March 10th for Kindergarten students and Friday, March 11th for students in Grades 1-6.  Pledge envelopes will be coming home on tomorrow.  Thank you very much in advance for your financial support.

3. Milk Program Change – Note from WRDSB

During the school year, schools often promote lunch and/or milk programs to families which may purchase and have the items delivered to the school for their child.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the school board is required to provide an alternative for such services previously offered by Remember Me Incorporated.

As of today, alternative programs available to support our schools and their councils have been identified to school administrators.  School administrators will be making site-based decisions about alternative options.

In closing, all orders placed with Remember Me Incorporated up to and including March 4th will be honoured.

4. March Break is Coming Soon

School will be closed for March Break from March 14 to 18.  We hope our students will enjoy a great week off.

5. Coming to our Williamsburg Playground in Spring 2016:

We are excited to announce that our school playground will receive a number of fun and exciting playground enhancements.  As a result of various fundraising events throughout last school year we have been able to plan some great new playground additions to be added this spring.  Keep you eyes out for the following wooden playground items: Play Fort, Walking Bridge, 2 sets of Wooden Tables and Chair Stumps, a log Alligator and Dog, and 2 Log Cars.  These will be placed amongst the trees, keeping with our “natural” playground focus. Our Williamsburg students are really going to be excited to see these new additions to our playground in the spring!

6. Featured Class

We have a new tab on our school website called “Featured Classes.”  This week we are showcasing work by Ms. Milburn and Mrs. Horst’s JK/SK class (Rm 43) as well some photos from our Carnaval celebration that was held on February 25th here at Williamsburg.  Here is the link if you want to take a look: http://wlm.wrdsb.ca/featured-classes/

– Log-in to School-Day (https://www.school-day.com/ )
– Underneath My Dashboard, you will see 5 tabs, click  the Products tab to see all the Pizza and Cookie products that are available to order in this ordering period
-Order Pizza and/or Cookies as you wish adding the items to your cart. (Note that orders must be placed for each week and product separately.   There will be 10 products to choose from in this 5 week ordering period)
– Be sure to order for each of your children by choosing the child’s name from the drop-down box for each week
– When you are ready to complete your order, click My Cart
– Click Check Out to pay on-line and complete the payment process
– If you prefer to pay by cash, click Will Pay By Cash.  Print receipt or make note of the Order Number and send to school with your payment by the order deadline date.  Your order is not complete until payment is received at school
