Hello Parents,

Here are this week’s updates:

1. Dress Up – Dress Down Day – Friday, May 20th
Friday is a school spirit day at Williamsburg.  Students can dress-up in more formal clothes and teachers/staff can dress in casual clothing or pajamas.  Join the fun!

2. Victoria Day Holiday – Monday, May 23rd
A reminder that Monday, May 23rd is the Victoria Day Holiday.  Enjoy the long weekend!

3. Junior Track and Field – Tuesday, May 24th
The Junior students are heading to University Stadium for our Williamsburg Track and Field Day on Tuesday, May 24th.  Please be sure to approve the permission form on School-Day and pay on-line or send in $2.00 to cover the cost of the bus.  The weather looks warm for Tuesday so remember to send hats, sunscreen and lots of water that day.  Students should wear appropriate athletic attire for the event and lunches, drinks, and snacks may be brought in a knapsack, labelled with the student’s name.   We invite family and friends to meet us at the stadium to help cheer us on!

4. Pizza/Cookie Orders for June due by Thursday, May 26th 
Our last round of Pizza/Cookie orders are now open on School-Day.  This ordering period covers the weeks of June 2, 9, 16 and 23rd and will be taken on School-Day ONLY from today until Thursday, May 26th. Be sure to click the Products tab at the top of the page in order to access all the weeks in this ordering period. No late orders will be accepted.  See the How-To-Order Guide below for step by step instructions for ordering.  Call the school office if you have any questions – 519-742-1848.

5. School Council
Our last School Council Meeting is on Monday, May 30th at 6:30pm in the Williamsburg School Library.  You are welcome to join us! Our meeting agendas and minutes are posted on the school website – http://wlm.wrdsb.ca/school-council/school-council-agendas-and-minutes/.

6. Book Sale Success!
Thanks goes out to our School Council members for organizing our first Used Book Sale. This event was extremely successful as we collected several thousand Books, CDs and DVDs and we raised over $2500 to support our school. Thanks to all of our volunteers and the Williamsburg Community for donating their used items!

  • May 19 – French Immersion Gr.6 Orientation Night at Westheights P.S. at 6:00pm
  • May 20 – Spirit Day – Students dress up, Teachers dress down
  • May 23 – Victoria Day Holiday – No school
  • May 24 – Junior Track and Field Day for Grades 4 to 6 Students
  • May 25, 26 and 27 – EQAO Testing for Grades 3 and 6 Students
  • May 25 – Grade 6 Orientation Night at Queensmount Senior P.S. at 7:00pm
  • May 30 – School Council Meeting at 6:30pm

– Log-in to School-Day (https://www.school-day.com/ )
– Underneath My Dashboard, you will see 5 tabs, click  the Products tab to see all the Pizza and Cookie products that are available to order in this ordering period
-Order Pizza and/or Cookies as you wish adding the items to your cart. (Note that orders must be placed for each week and product separately.   There will be 8 products to choose from in this 4 week ordering period)
– Be sure to order for each of your children by choosing the child’s name from the drop-down box for each week
– When you are ready to complete your order, click My Cart
– Click Check Out to pay on-line and complete the payment process
– If you prefer to pay by cash, click Will Pay By Cash.  Print receipt or make note of the Order Number and send to school with your payment by the order deadline date.  Your order is not complete until payment is received at school
