Hello Parents,

Here are this week’s updates:

1. Upcoming Dates to Note:

– September 14 – 21 – Spirit Wear on Sale on School-Day
– September 22 – Terry Fox Run – Send a Toonie ($2) for Terry
– September 22 – 29 – October Pizza/Cookie Orders Open on School-Day
– September 23 – PA Day – No School for Students
– September 26 – First School Council Meeting (6:30pm in the Library)
– September 28 – Jersey Spirit Day – Wear your favourite jersey to school
– September 29 – Picture Day for Kindergarten Students and Sibling Photos
– September 30 – Picture Day for Grades 1 to 6 Students

2. Great to See You!

It was wonderful to see so many families at our Meet the Teacher Night this past Tuesday!  It is great to be a part of such a wonderful community.

3. Sprit Wear (School T-shirts and Shorts)

We are selling Spirit Wear this year!  This includes t-shirts (grey), shorts (navy blue) and drawstring bags (navy blue) all with the Williamsburg logo on them.  For anyone who didn’t get a chance to see samples and sizing at Meet the Teacher Night, please stop by the school this afternoon (September 15th) between 3:20 and 4:00pm.  This is one more chance to see the items that are for sale and to check sizing for you or your child.  Spirit Wear orders can be placed on School-Day from now until September 21st.

4. Pizza/Cookies for the Month of October

Pizza/Cookie Day is every Thursday at 1st Nutrition Break from October through June.  All orders for October will be placed on School-Day from September 22nd to 29th.  This is a great time to be sure that you are signed up on School-Day and have added all the students in your family that attend Williamsburg.  Please call the school office if you need help getting registered (519-742-1848).  More details about Pizza/Cookies to follow next week.

5. Pokeman Cards
Pokeman has made a come-back thanks to the Pokeman Go App, but parents we need your help!  We ask that ALL Pokeman cards and collectables stay at home and not be brought to school.  Thanks for your help and support with this!

6. Safety Drills

Please note that we will be conducting our mandatory safety drills over the next few weeks.  These include: 3 Fire Drills, a Lockdown Drill and a Tornado Drill.  Feel free to talk with your children about these upcoming practice drills.
