Thanks to everyone who submitted a yellow School Council Self-Nomination Form to take part in our 2016-2017 School Council at Williamsburg.

We have the following elected positions available: Chairperson (or co-chairs), Treasurer and Secretary for our 2016-2017 School Council.

Here are the names of people who have shown interest in taking part in an executive role this year:

Please consider joining us for our first School Council Meeting on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 6:30 pm in the school library.  We will be holding elections for our Executive roles as well as working through several other agenda items.  The September Agenda is now posted on our school website at: https://wlm.wrdsb.ca/school-council/school-council-agendas-and-minutes/

The Williamsburg School Council is a wonderful opportunity for our parents to participate on any particular level that they feel comfortable.  We would greatly appreciate your attendance and involvement.  Williamsburg School Council is not a make-work organization.  It is an opportunity to develop a strong educational partnership between parents and Williamsburg School Staff.

By attending our monthly meetings you will become more familiar with the day-to-day school events, Ministry curricula and general educational issues.  You will also have an opportunity to help with and plan fundraising initiatives and special events.  Your attendance at these meetings will help to inform us on issues that you feel are important to your child’s overall success.
