Hello Parents,

Here are this week’s updates:

1. Upcoming Dates to Note:

– Friday, February 17 – Report Cards Go Home
– Monday, February 20 – Family Day Holiday – School is closed
– Thursday, February 23 – Family Fun Night at 6:30 pm
– Monday, February 27 – School Council Meeting at 6:30 pm

2. Me to We – Five Days of Freedom
The Me to We Club has been working all week with our Williamsburg students to raise funds for Free the Children.  Check out our school website for posts on the various events.  With our first 3 events (Pencilgrams, Cake Raffle and Loonie Toss) we have raised approximately $1500.00!!!  Stay tuned for final total coming early next week!

Tomorrow (Friday, February 17th) is the last day to donate to this great cause.  Bring a loonie to donate and then wear a hat and/or bring gum to chew at school in exchange.

3. Crossing Guards
A reminder to all families about the importance of staying safe around the school neighbourhood.  Please be sure to remind your child/ren to cross the street only with the crossing guards and about the importance of listening to and respecting crossing guards.  Their job is to help keep us all safe.

4. Parking Around the School
Please check and follow all the parking signs on the streets surrounding the school.  It is important to only park in areas where signs state that parking is permitted.  We need your cooperation to keep our streets and students safe!
