June 1st, 2017
Hello Parents,
Here are this week’s updates:
1. PD Day – Friday, June 2nd is a PD Day which means no school for students.
2. Dress Code for School – With warm weather upon us, it is a good time to review our school dress code. (This information is included in the planners that students received in the fall.) Clothing that is unacceptable at school includes clothing that shows a bare midriff or undergarments, halter tops, items with pictures or words which are disrespectful or offensive and items which illustrate drugs, alcohol, smoking or sex.
A good suggestion is that shoulder straps should be a minimum of 2 fingers wide. Skirts or shorts should be at least mid-thigh or fingertip length. School attire is expected to be age appropriate, complementary to the students’ physical stage of development, and tasteful.
3. Books Due Back to School – A reminder to start looking through all your books at home. All Home Reading Books are due back to school by Friday, June 9th. All Library Books are due back to school by Friday, June 16th. We want to get everything sorted, organized and prepared for the next school year so we are grateful for your help with getting all books returned.
4. Kindergarten Info Night for NEW Kindergarten Students and Families – We are holding our Kindergarten Information evening on Thursday, June 15th from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. New JK and SK students along with their parents are invited to join us to learn about the upcoming school year.
