Hello Parents,

We have made it to our last day of school for the 2016-2017 school year!  Thank you for all you have done to help make this a successful year.  Today’s updates contain information to help you prepare for September:

1. First Day Back—Sept. 5th – On September 5th (the first day back to school for grades 1-6 students), parents are asked to gather with their children on the tarmac at the back of the school.  Teachers will be holding up name signs.  Students will find their teacher and line up with him/her.  Once the bell rings at 9:00, classes will make their way into the school.  Parents are asked to say good-bye on the tarmac as the hallways will be very busy with everyone entering at once.

Junior Kindergarten students will be on the staggered day schedule.  Parents and children will have a short, scheduled meeting with the teacher on September 5th.  Senior Kindergarten students will start school on September 6, 2017.

2. Class Lists – Class lists will be posted on the tarmac doors (at the back of the school) on Friday, September 1st at 4:00 p.m.  Feel free to pop by anytime on Friday night or on the weekend to find out what class your children will be in.  Class information can also be accessed via School Day as of Saturday morning.

3. Bus Information for Kindergarten Families – You can check to see if your kindergarten student is eligible for transportation by visiting the Student Transportation (STSWR) website: https://bpweb.stswr.ca/Eligibility.aspx?Page=Transportation and entering your home address.

STSWR will be sending a direct mail out to the families of Junior Kindergarten students that will be transported next year. Senior Kindergarten students will receive a postcard with Student Login Information. Letters and Postcards will be mailed out during the week of August 14th.
