Hello Parents,

1. Pizza/Cookie Orders Due TODAY – Thursday, November 23rd – Last call for Pizza/Cookie orders for the following weeks: November 30, December 7, 14 and 21. Late orders cannot be accepted.  Also a reminder that any cash payments must be submitted to the office by 3:30 today. See the How-To-Order Guide below for step by step instructions for ordering.  Call the school office if you have any questions or want to get registered on School-Day – 519-742-1848.

2. School Council Notes – 

– Wintergreen Pick-up: Please plan to come to the Williamsburg gym during one of these times to pick up your wintergreen orders:

  • November 27th – 10:30 am – 6:00 pm
  • November 28th – 8:30 am – 12:00 pm

– Winter Gear Drive: If you have winter gear in good condition (hats, mitts, boots, snow pants, coats) that your child has outgrown please bring them in to the school Wintergreen Fundraiser Pick-up on November 27 and 28. If you are not picking up a wintergreen order, winter gear can be dropped off at the office on those dates.  They will then be taken to a local school that will put them to good use keeping kids and families warm this winter.

3. French Program Information Nights for Parents of Senior Kindergarten Students – The Waterloo Region District School Board offers two French programs, both beginning in grade one. (https://www.wrdsb.ca/french )

Information regarding the Core French Program and the grade one French Immersion Program was sent home last week.  Both programs are designed to meet the needs of your child.  Please take the time to read this brochure carefully before making your choice.

In order to provide parents/guardians with information about the French Immersion Program, the following information sessions have been scheduled at the WRDSB Board Office at 51 Ardelt Avenue, Kitchener:

  • Monday, November 27th – 7:00 pm
  • Friday, December 1st – 12:00 noon
  • Monday, December 4th at 12:00 noon
  • Monday, December 4th at 7:00 pm

Mark your calendars – The French Immersion Registration process will begin on Monday, January 10, 2018 on the Waterloo Region District School Board website at www.wrdsb.ca.

~ How-To-Order Guide for Pizza/Cookies:

  • Log-in to School-Day – https://www.school-day.com/
  • Click Products at the top of your Dashboard, then click December Pizza Orders.
  • Select each DATE that you wish each child to have pizza using the drop down arrow within this Product and make note of how many slices of pizza and the topping you want for each given week. This ordering period covers 4 Thursdays including November 30, December 7, 14, 21
  • Click add to cart
  • Select the next week from the drop down box
  • Use the drop down box for each of your children as well if you have more than one child that you are ordering for
  • If you wish to order cookies as well, go back to the products tab and Click on December – Cookies Orders and follow the same process as listed above to order pizza
  • Once you have added all your items, click the cart in the the top right corner of your screen to view all your selected items. Take a moment to review your order and make sure that your selections are correct.
  • Click Check Out to pay on-line or click Will Pay By Cash if you prefer to pay with cash. (For cash orders, send in the order number and the EXACT cash amount to school with your child by the order deadline – November 23, 2017. Late orders cannot be accepted.)
  • NOTE: If your child is absent on pizza day, they will miss their order that day. The pizza and cookies will not be saved or re-distributed to friends or siblings.
