Hello Parents,
1. Goodbye and Hello – We are saying goodbye to Mme. Sylvie Guillemette as she is retiring as of December 22nd. We wish her all the best in this new chapter!!
We say a warm Hello to Mme. Willfang who will be replacing Mme. Sylvie at Williamsburg beginning on January 8th.
2. Upcoming Dates to Note:
- December 22 – Pajama Day
- December 23 to January 7 – Christmas Break
- January 8 – First Day Back to School after the Break
- January 10 – January 31 – Registration is Open for Gr. 1 French Immersion (for SK students at www.wrdsb.ca/french )
- January 17 – Silly Sock Day
- January 18 – 25 – February Pizza/Cookie Orders Open on School-Day
- January 22 – School Council Meeting at 6:30 pm in the Library
- January 26 – PD Day – No school for students
3. Food Drive – A huge thank you to our generous Williamsburg staff, students and families! Together we filled 45 boxes that added up to 1036 pounds of food for the Food Bank of Waterloo Region. This means that we collected enough food for 809 meals that will go out into our community. This is the largest amount that we have ever collected!
We also want to thank Ms. Mic for coordinating the Food Drive at Williamsburg. We are better together!
4. Final Call for Lost and Found – This is a final call for item pick-up from the Williamsburg Lost and Found. Any left-over items will be donated to charity as of Friday, December 22nd.
We wish all of our Williamsburg families a wonderful holiday! We trust that you will take time to relax and enjoy your families!
