Here are this week’s updates:

1. Family Math Night – TONIGHT!  – You are invited to join us for Family Math Night tonight at Williamsburg Public School. This is a drop-in event….come for all or part of the evening!

2. April Pizza/Cookie Orders – Pizza/Cookie orders for April are now open on School-Day.  This ordering period covers the weeks of April 5, 12, 19 and 26.  Orders will be taken on School-Day until Thursday, March 29th. No late orders will be accepted.  See the How-To-Order Guide at the end of this note for step by step instructions for ordering.  Call the school office if you have any questions – 519-742-1848.

3. Move-a-thon – We are over the moon to let you know that we raised over $8000 for our School Council Move-a-thon Fundraiser!  This means that our school has won and will be taking part in a Groove Program in the spring.  Here is a little background on the program: As a certified teacher, dance education specialist and university lecturer, Michelle Hillier, founder of Experience Groove, understands teacher and curriculum requirements like no one else. The Groove Experience offers a unique way to meet these needs. With wellness and discovery at its core, bringing the Groove to school-aged children is truly a magical thing. Benefits include enhancing physical literacy, self-responsibility, mindfulness, peace, joy, and respect. We are so grateful for our Williamsburg community of families.  Thank you for your generous support!

4. Are you Moving? – We are already working on developing the school organization for the 2018-2019 school year.   To adequately plan and staff classrooms we need to have an accurate understanding of who will be attending our school in the fall.  If you are moving, it is important to let us know.  We also ask that you spread the word to any new families who are moving or have moved into our school community and ask them to contact the school as soon as possible.  Accurate enrolment numbers in the spring help establish a smooth fall start-up and help to prevent a reorganization of classes in the first few weeks of school. We appreciate your help!

5. Upcoming Dates to Note:

  • March 22 – Family Math Night
  • March 22 to 29 – April Pizza/Cookie Orders Open on School-Day
  • March 30 – Good Friday Holiday
  • April 2 – Easter Monday Holiday
  • April 13 – PA Day – No school for students

~ How-To-Order Guide for Pizza/Cookies:

  • Log-in to School-Day – https://www.school-day.com/
  • Click Products at the top of your Dashboard, then click April – Pizza Orders.
  • Select each DATE that you wish each child to have pizza using the drop down arrow within this Product and make note of how many slices of pizza and the topping you want for each given week. This ordering period covers 4 Thursdays including April 5, 12, 19 and 26.
  • Click add to cart
  • Select the next week from the drop down box
  • Use the drop down box for each of your children as well if you have more than one child that you are ordering for
  • If you wish to order cookies as well, go back to the products tab and Click on April – Cookie Orders and follow the same process as listed above to order pizza
  • Once you have added all your items, click the cart in the the top right corner of your screen to view all your selected items. Take a moment to review your order and make sure that your selections are correct.
  • Click Check Out to pay on-line or click Will Pay By Cash if you prefer to pay with cash. (For cash orders, send in the order number and the EXACT cash amount to school with your child by the order deadline – March 29th. Late orders cannot be accepted.)
  • NOTE: If your child is absent on pizza day, they will miss their order that day. The pizza and cookies will not be saved or re-distributed to friends or siblings.
