Hello Parents,
Here are this week’s updates:
1. PD Day on Friday – April 13th is a PD Day which means no school for students.
2. Upcoming Dates to Note:
- April 13 – PD Day – No school for students
- April 19 – 26 – May Pizza/Cookie Orders Open on School-Day
- April 20 and 23 – Earth Day Activities/School Yard Clean-up
- April 23 – School Council at 6:30 pm in the Library
- May 2 and 3 – Groove at Williamsburg
- May 4 – PD Day
3. Earth Week – We are focusing on the environment all month at Williamsburg and especially next week for Earth Week. Here are some ways that we can show care for the earth:
- Try to use reusable containers for lunches
- Walk or ride your bike to school
- Remember the 3 R’s – Reduce / Reuse / Recycle

4. Rainy Day Reminder – If it is raining before school, we will ring the rain bell at 8:45 am and students will be supervised inside. Students need to go to their regular entry door at the back of the school when they arrive. Even on rainy days, students should not be entering the school through the front doors and as usual parents should say goodbye outside.
5. School Council Meeting – Join us on Monday, April 23rd at 6:30pm in the Williamsburg library for our next School Council Meeting. Everyone is welcome!
6. Are you Moving? – We are already working on developing the school organization for the 2018-2019 school year. To adequately plan and staff classrooms we need to have an accurate understanding of who will be attending our school in the fall. If you are moving, it is important to let us know. We also ask that you spread the word to any new families who are moving or have moved into our school community and ask them to contact the school as soon as possible. Accurate enrolment numbers in the spring help establish a smooth fall start-up and help to prevent a reorganization in the fall.
