Hello Parents,

Here are this week’s updates:

1. BOOKS, BOOKS, BOOKS…All Library Books and Home Reading Books are due back to school by TOMORROW  –  June 15th!

2. Library Message from Mrs. Branje – Dear Families, I’d like to take this time to thank you all for a wonderful year in the library. Your child(ren) enjoyed regular visits to the library as well as participating in many different reading programs. Thank you parents for helping to foster a love of reading in your child(ren). I encourage everyone to take advantage of the many programs that are offered at Kitchener Public Library over the summer. Check out their website for programs and events: http://www.kpl.org/ .  We are looking forward to a visit from the KPL later next week.  Our students will have a chance to hear more about their summer programs.

3. Primary Play Day – June 26th for Grades 1, 2, 3 – Here is some important information for our upcoming Primary Play Day:

  • If it’s raining the event will be cancelled
  • Apply sunscreen before your child comes to school
  • Wear a hat, cool and comfortable clothing and sunglasses
  • Wear running shoes, no sandals or flip-flops
  • Send along a water-bottle labelled with your child’s first and last name
  • Send along a change of clothes in your child’s backpack in case they get wet or dirty while playing.

4. Upcoming Dates to Note:

  • June 15 – All Library and Home Reading Books are DUE
  • June 25 – Report Cards Go Home
  • June 26 – Primary Play Day for Grades 1, 2 and 3 in the Morning
  • June 27 – Grade 6 Celebration from 9:10 to 10:30 am
  • June 28 – Last Day of School
  • June 28 – Canada Day – Wear Red and White and Canada Gear
  • June 28 – No Pizza/Cookies – Please bring a full lunch to school
