Hello Parents,

Here are this week’s updates:

1. Last Pizza/Cookie Day – Today is our last pizza/cookie day of the year.  Remember to send a full lunch with your child next Thursday on the last day of school.

2.Lost and Found – This is a final call for item pick-up from the Williamsburg Lost and Found.  Any left-over items will be donated to charity as of Friday, June 29th. Please stop in and have a look through the clothes, lunch bags and water bottles to see if you can find anything that belongs at your house.

3. Primary Play Day – June 26th for Grades 1, 2, 3 – Here is some important information for our upcoming Primary Play Day:

  • If it’s raining the event will be cancelled
  • Apply sunscreen before your child comes to school
  • Wear a hat, cool and comfortable clothing and sunglasses
  • Wear running shoes, no sandals or flip-flops
  • Send along a water-bottle labelled with your child’s first and last name
  • Send along a change of clothes in your child’s backpack in case they get wet or dirty while playing.

3. Important Information Regarding Class Lists – Waterloo Region District School Board is committed to keeping your children safe.  To comply with privacy legislation we are changing the way we communicate elementary students’ home classrooms for September 2018.  Class lists will no longer be posted on the outside windows or doors of your child’s school. More details about how to find your child’s class information will be shared on the school website and via School-Day in August.  (Note – Students who are going into Junior and Senior Kindergarten will be receiving a paper letter at the beginning of July with their classroom placement and schedule for the first week of school.  Be sure to check your mailbox!)

4. Upcoming June Dates to Note:

  • June 25 – Report Cards Go Home
  • June 26 – Primary Play Day for Grades 1, 2 and 3 in the Morning
  • June 27 – Grade 6 Celebration from 9:10 to 10:30 am
  • June 28 – Last Day of School
  • June 28 – Canada Day – Wear Red and White and Canada Gear
  • June 28 – No Pizza/Cookies – Please bring a full lunch to school

5. Upcoming September Dates to Note:

  • September 4 – First Day of School
  • September 6 – Meet the Teacher Night
  • September 21 – PD Day
