2. Attendance –  Our goal is to have very students at school and ON TIME. each and every day. Please notify us anytime your child will be late or absent:

Both phone and email are available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

If your child is being picked up for an appointment throughout the school day, please inform both the teacher and the office. This allows us to have your child waiting for your arrival in the office.

3. School Council – Join us for our first School Council Meeting of the year on Monday, September 24th at 6:00pm in the Library. (Note the new start time!) Nomination forms to run for an elected position were sent home on Tuesday. Please return those forms to the office by September 12th if you are interested in an executive role. We would love to have new members – all are welcome to join us.

4. Our New Junior Circuit and Walking Path – We are so excited about our new playground additions! Thanks to support from School Council as well as pizza sales we were able to add a “Junior Circuit” (climbing equipment) and a walking path to our playground. For now, the Junior Circuit will be for our grade 4,5, and 6 students during nutrition breaks. Our younger students may be able to access it during gym classes with their teachers. We specifically designed the circuit for our junior students because the natural play area was designed for our primary students. We now have more options for all students while out at nutrition breaks.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! Due to the need for direct supervision when students are on the Circuit, the Circuit will be CLOSED before school and after school until 3:30. After our supervision ends at 3:30 and we are sure that all students are safely on their way home, students who have parents with them can play on the climber. Please remind your children that the circuit is closed before and after school.

Special thanks goes out to Kelly Galloway-Sealock (our City Councillor) who helped us work through the City of Kitchener red tape required for this project. Thank you also to Tom of Richard Schaefer & Son Haulage Ltd and Laura Gillians of Blue Imp Recreations Projects who worked some last minute magic to meet our deadlines. This was a perfect example of our community coming together to make things great things happen!

5. Drop Off and Pick Up – We encourage parents to walk children to school as we have a shortage of parking neat the school. If you do drive your children to school, please remember that the school parking lot is for staff and daycare parking only. There is no parking on Commonwealth Crescent and the manager of Goodlife has also asked that parents not use their lot for pick up and drop offs. Please look for space on other side streets where parking is permitted.

6. Pizza and Cookies – Our first Pizza/Cookie Day will be Thursday, October 4th. Orders for each week in October can be made on School-Day between September 20th and 27th. Stay tuned for more information.

7. School Info in Planner – Please read the front 8 pages of your child’s planner for important Williamsburg information. Once you have read the pages, please sign the front page in the space provided. Complete the scavenger hunt with your child by Friday and your child will have a chance to wind a slice of pizza on our first pizza day!
