Hello Parents,

1. Upcoming Dates to Note

  • January 7– Registration is Open for Gr. 1 French Immersion (for SK students at www.wrdsb.ca/french )
  • January 14 – Kindergarten Registration Opens for new JK/SK Students
  • January 24 – Team Jersey Spirit Day
  • January 24 to 31 – February Pizza/Cookie Orders Open on School-Day
  • January 25 – PD Day – no school for students

2. Attendance Messages – Please call or email the school as soon as possible if your child will be late or absent. Attendance messages can be taken 24 hours per day. It is helpful to us if we have your messages well before 9:00 a.m.

3. Kindergarten Registration for NEW JK/SK Students – Registration for children born in 2014/2015 opens online on Monday, January 14th at http://www.wrdsb.ca/register/ If your child currently attends Williamsburg Public School in JK, there is no need to register for SK as this happens automatically at the school level. Please share this information with your friends and neighbours in our school community.  If you have any questions about the registration process for Kindergarten please, do not hesitate to call the Office at 519-742-1848 x3.

4. HERO GEM UPDATE – The HERO GEM trait for January is Optimism. At Williamsburg we are optimistic. We look for the positive in all situations. We believe that anything is possible when we have a growth mindset. A great activity for you to try as a family is to post positive messages on the fridge about each person in the family.
