Hello Parents,
Here are this week’s updates:
1. PD Day – Friday, November 15th is a PD Day which means no school for students. Staff will be working on our School Improvement plan in the morning and will be conducting parent teacher interviews in the afternoon.
2. Cold Weather – The cold weather has arrived. Please be sure to dress your children
for the weather including coats, snow pants, boots, hats and mitts. The children will go
outside to play at least 2 times each day and need to be warm and dry. Also be sure to allow yourselves extra time to get ready in the morning to ensure that kids still arrive to school on time.
3. Parking Lot: Please remember that our parking lot is for staff and visitors. For safety reasons, students are not to be dropped off or picked up in the parking lot. Students should not walk through the parking lot at all when coming to or leaving from school.
4. Scholastic Book Fair – Today is the last day of the Book Fair. Come to the Library up until 7:00 pm to shop.
5. Used Winter Clothing/Gear Drive – If you have good condition winter gear (hats, mitts, boots, snow pants, coats) that your child has out-grown please bring them in to the school on November 11th to November 15th for our Winter Clothing Drive. Parents can also bring in winter gear when they come in for parent teacher interviews.
6. Hero Gems – We continue to work on showing gratitude this month. At the dinner table or bedtime have children share two things they are grateful for.

November 11-15 – Winter Clothing Drive
November 12-14 – Book Fair in the library (Nov 12-13 8:30-5:30, Nov 14 8:30-7:00)
November 15 – PD Day. No School for Students.
November 15 – Parent – Teacher Interview afternoon
November 21 to 28 – December Pizza Orders Open on School Day
November 25 – School Council meeting 6:00pm
December 20 – Last day before our holiday break
