Hello Parents,
Here are this week’s updates:
1. Pizza Orders for DECEMBER due by Thursday, November 28th – Our next round of Pizza orders is now open on School-Day. This ordering period covers the weeks of December 5, 12 and 19. See the How-To-Order Guide below for step by step instructions for ordering. Call the school office if you have any questions or want to get registered on School-Day – 519-742-1848.
2. Winter Clothing Drive and Distribution – Thank you to all who donated winter coats, hats, mits and snowpants. We know that many students will benefit from these donations. Tonight we will be distributing these donations to those in our community who are in need of winter clothing. If you are in need of winter clothing or know someone in need, please stop by our gym between 3:30 and 4:30 to pick up items. Any items that still remain after tomorrow will be donated to other schools in our area.
3. Little Caesar’s Fundraiser – Thank you to all who purchased items through our Little Caesar’s Fundraiser. Thanks to your purchases, we were able to raise $2336.00. This money will help to fund school planners, headphones and field trips.
Congratulations to the following top selling classes:

These classes will be enjoying a pizza party on December 20th!
4. Book Fair – Thank you to all who visited our book fair and purchased items. We have a great community of shoppers because we were able to raise $2247.51! This money will help to fund some upgrades in our library.
5. French Program Information Nights for Parents of Senior Kindergarten Students – The Waterloo Region District School Board offers two French programs, both beginning in grade one. (https://www.wrdsb.ca/french/french-programs/). Both programs are designed to meet the needs of your child. Please take the time to read all the information on this website link carefully before making your choice. In order to provide parents/guardians with information about the French Immersion Program, the following information sessions have been scheduled at the WRDSB Board Office at 51 Ardelt Avenue, Kitchener in the Cambridge Room:
Thursday, December 5 at 7:00 pm
Monday, December 9 at 12:00 pm
Monday, December 9 at 7:00pm
Monday, January 13 at 7:00 pm
On-line Registration for parents of SK students for the French Immersion program that begins in Grade 1 opens on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at https://www.wrdsb.ca/french/ .
6. Cold and Wet Weather – The cold and wet weather has arrived! Please be sure to dress your children for the weather including coats, snow pants, boots, hats and mitts. The children will go outside to play at least 2 times each day and need to be warm and dry. Also be sure to allow yourselves extra time to get ready in the morning to ensure that kids still arrive to school on time. It is also helpful to keep an extra change of clothes in your child’s backpack in case they get wet outside.
7. School Council – Join us for our next School Council Meeting on Monday, November 25th at 6:00 pm in the library. Everyone is welcome!
8. Hero Gems – We continue to focus on gratitude for this month’s HERO GEM trait.
At Williamsburg we show gratitude. We thank others for who they are and what they do. We show appreciation so that everyone feels respected and valued. Please take some time to talk about gratitude with your child.

~ How-To-Order Guide for Pizza:
– Log-in to School-Day (www.school-day.com/ )
– Click Products at the top of your Dashboard and select November 2019 – Pizza Orders
-Order Pizza as you wish adding the items to your cart. Use the drop-down boxes to select the child, week and topping you wish to order. When you are ready to complete your order, click My Cart
– Click Check Out to pay on-line and complete the payment process
– If you prefer to pay by cash, click Will Pay By Cash. Print receipt or make note of the Order Number and send to school with your payment by the order deadline date. Please provide exact change as we cannot provide change in the office. Your order is not complete until payment is received at school
