Hello Parents,

Here are this week’s updates:

1. French Immersion Registration now open – Registration is now open for Grade 1 French Immersion. This is only open for current senior kindergarten students. Please go to the following link to register: https://www.wrdsb.ca/french/

2. Attendance Messages – Please call or email the school as soon as possible if your child will be late or absent. Attendance messages can be taken 24 hours per day. It is helpful to us if we have your messages well before 9:00 a.m.

3. Kindergarten Registration for NEW JK/SK Students – Registration for children born in 2016 opens online on Monday, January 13th athttp://www.wrdsb.ca/register/. If your child currently attends Williamsburg Public School in JK, there is no need to register for SK as this happens automatically at the school level. Please share this information with your friends and neighbours in our school community.

If you have any questions about the registration process for Kindergarten please, do not hesitate to call the Office at 519-742-1848 x3.

4. Set New Sleep Goals – January is a great time to start new routines and set new goals. Did you know that children between the ages of 5 and 13 require 9-11 hours of sleep each night? 5. Pizza days for January – This is a reminder that there will be NO pizza days for the month of January. Please send a full lunch with your child(ren) on Thursdays.

6. Hero Gems – Our focus is on Optimism this month. We know that anything is possible when we have a growth mindset.

7. Home Reading Incentive Program – Remember to encourage your child to keep reading every night! We will continue to have draws each month!
