Hello Parents,
Here are this week’s updates:
1. Kindergarten Registration for NEW JK/SK Students – Kindergarten registration for children born in 2014/2015 is continuing now online at wlm.wrdsb.ca/2019/01/14/kindergarten-registration-for-children-born-in-2014-and-2015/ . If your child currently attends Williamsburg Public School in JK, there is no need to register for SK as this happens automatically at the school level. Please share this information with your friends and neighbours in our school community. If you have any questions about the registration process for Kindergarten please, do not hesitate to call the Office at 519-742-1848 x3.
2. HERO GEM UPDATE – February’s HERO GEM focus is Empathy. “At Williamsburg, we show empathy. We respond to other people’s thoughts, emotions and needs. We notice when someone is hurt or needs help and we take the time to show them we care.”
3. Safe Arrival and Dismissal and Parking Lot Reminders – We encourage all of our students to walk to school. If you must drive your children to or from school, please be sure to do so in a safe manner. Please note that there is no stopping on Commonwealth Crescent for pick up or drop off. The parking lot is for staff and visitors and for safety reasons, students are not to be dropped off or picked up in the parking lot. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this procedure. Be sure that your child knows where to meet you at the end of the day and he/she knows to go to the office if you are late.

- February 15 – Report Cards Go Home
- February 18 – Family Day Holiday
- February 21 to 28 – March Pizza/Cookie Orders Open on School-Day
- February 25 – School Council Meeting at 6 pm in the Library
- February 27 and 28 – Dental Screening for JK, SK and Grade 2 Students
