March 7, 2019 – Weekly School-Day Update

Hello Parents,

Here are this week’s updates:

1. Move-a-thon – All pledge forms and envelopes are due back to school today (March 7th) for the Move-a-thon. Each of our classes will be participating in the Move-a-thon on Friday in the gym. We so appreciate your support in this School Council Fundraiser. Stay tuned for our grand total coming soon.

2. Beach Day – March 8th – Friday is Beach Day at Williamsburg! Wear your brightcolours and your beach accessories to school. Please check inthe front of the student planner for our school dress code.

3. Spring Ahead – Time Change! – Remember to move your clocks ahead by 1 hour at bedtime on Saturday, March 9th

4. March Break – Remember that March Break is next week. We hope you have a wonderful week off and are able to have some quality family time.

5. Are You Moving or Do You Have New Neighbours? – Please be sure to inform the school office if you are moving anytime in the next few months or over the summer. We are making plans for the new school year and need to keep track of where all of our students will be. All of our students must live within the Williamsburg school boundaries. Contact us at 519-742-1848 if you have any questions.

Also, be sure to let any new neighbours know that we want them to register now at Williamsburg so we can include them in our classes.

6. Lost and Found – LAST CALL – Please encourage your children to check the Lost and Found at school. It is full of coats, hoodies, hats, mitts etc. Any items that have not been claimed by the Friday before March Break will be donated. Thanks!

7. HERO GEM UPDATE – We continue to focus on taking ownership in March. Although it is sometimes difficult to take responsibility for our actions because we know we made bad choices, we cannot fix problems until we take ownership.

8. Get Set Learn Program – Get Set Learn is a series of programs offered by Project READ Literacy Network Waterloo-Wellington. It is a program for families with children up to age 6 and helps with getting your family ready for school. Follow this link for details about the program: http://getsetlearn.ca/about-us.html

9. Upcoming Dates to Note:
