March 21st, 2019
Here are this week’s updates:
1. April Pizza/Cookie Orders – Pizza/Cookie orders for April are now open on School-Day. This ordering period covers the weeks of April 4, 11, 18 and 25. Orders will be taken on School-Day until Thursday, March 28th. No late orders will be accepted. See the How-To-Order Guide at the end of this note for step by step instructions for ordering. Call the school office if you have any questions – 519-742-1848.
2. Move-a-thon – Thanks to our awesome Williamsburg school community we raised just over $7000 at our Move-a-thon that was organized by School Council! Thanks for your generous support. This money will be used to help cover the costs of planners, field trips and school improvements.
3. Are you Moving – We are already working on developing the school organization for the 2019-2020 school year. To adequately plan and staff classrooms we need to have an accurate understanding of who will be attending our school in the fall. If you are moving, it is important to let us know and to register at the new school even if your child won’t be starting there until September. We also ask that you spread the word to any new families who are moving or have moved into our school community and ask them to contact the school as soon as possible. Accurate enrolment numbers in the spring help establish a smooth fall start-up and help to prevent a reorganization of classes in the first few weeks of school. We appreciate your help!
4. HERO GEM UPDATE – Our focus for the month of March is Ownership. We continue to reinforce with our students that when we take responsibility for our words and actions we are taking ownership. Ownership is a key component of our Williamsburg Code of Conduct – https://wlm.wrdsb.ca/about/code-of-conduct/
