Hello Parents,

Here are this week’s updates:

1. February/March Pizza Orders Due By January 26th

Pizza/Cookie orders for February/March are now open on School-Day.  This ordering period covers the weeks of February 2, 9, 16, 23, March 2 and 9 and will be taken on School-Day ONLY from today until Thursday, January 26th. No late orders will be accepted.  The ordering process has CHANGED SLIGHTLY where you will now select weeks you wish to order from a drop down box within the 2 products listed – see the How-To-Order Guide at the end of this note for step by step instructions for ordering.  Call the school office if you have any questions – 519-742-1848.

2. School Parking Lot Reminders

All parents/guardians are reminded that the school parking lot is for staff ONLY, with the exception of Daycare Parents for drop off and pick up.

Please plan to drop off and pick up your children in designated areas and NOT in the parking lot.  Our parking lot is not a safe place for students and should not be a part of their planned route home.  Also, cars should not be left running/idling while waiting to drop off or pick up your children.  Thank you for working with us to keep our children safe!

3. Attendance

Please call our Attendance Line (519-570-8146 x 3766#) and update us anytime your child will be late or absent.  The Attendance Line is available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.  If your child is being picked up for an appointment throughout the school day, please inform both the teacher and the office.  This allows us to have your child waiting for your arrival in the office.

 

4. French Immersion Registration Continues for September 2017:

French Immersion Registration for students who are currently in SK is open now and is to be completed on-line by January 31, 2017.  Please click this link for more details about the program and how to register: http://www.wrdsb.ca/french/

 

5. Upcoming Dates to Note:
– January 19 – 26 – Feb/March Pizza Orders Open on School-Day
– January 26 – Beach Day
– January 27 – PD Day – no school for students
– January 30 – School Council Meeting at 6:30pm in the Library
– February 1 – On-line Registration Begins for New Kindergarten Students – https://www.wrdsb.ca/register/

~ How-to Order Pizza/Cookies

– Log-in to School-Day –  www.school-day.com
– Click Products at the top of the page
– Click February/March – Pizza Orders
– From here you are now able to select each of the available dates using the drop down box listed beside the word Dates
– Be sure to select each Date that you wish each child to have pizza using the drop down arrow within this Product as well as which Topping and make note of how many slices of pizza you want for each given week.  Then click add to cart and go back to the Date drop down box to select the next week that you wish to order
– Remember to use the drop down box for each of your children as well if you have more than one child that you are ordering for
– This ordering period covers 6 Thursdays including February, 2, 9, 16, 23, March 2 & 9
– If you wish to order cookies as well, go back to the products tab and Click on February/March – Cookie Orders and follow the same process as listed above to order cookies
– Once you have added all your items, click the cart in the top right corner of your screen to view all your selected items.  Take a moment to review your order and make sure that your selections are correct.  Then click Check Out to pay on-line or click Will Pay By Cash if you prefer to pay with cash.  (For cash orders, send in the order number and the EXACT cash amount to school with your child by the order deadline – January 26, 2017 . Late orders cannot be accepted.)
