Hello Parents,

Here are this week’s updates:

1. June Pizza/Cookie Orders – Last call for Pizza/Cookie orders for the following weeks: May 31, June 7, 14 and 21. Late orders cannot be accepted. Also a reminder that any cash payments must be submitted to the office by 3:30 today.  Call the school office if you have any questions or want to get registered on School-Day – 519-742- 1848.

*** Special Note: We will NOT be ordering pizza/cookies for the last day of school on Thursday, June 28, 2018. Please mark your calendars and plan to send a full lunch to school with your child on the last day of school.

2. Jump 2 Pump – May 25, 2018 – This Friday is Jump to Pump!

Everyone is being asked to bring in a toonie to support the Heart and Stroke Foundation.  As caring community members, we want to do our part to support such a worthy cause and at the same time promote a healthy lifestyle.  Therefore, students will be jumping during physical education classes on our jump day. Thank you for your continued support!

3. School Council Meeting – Our next School Council meeting is on Monday, May 28th at 6:30 pm in the school library.  Go to https://wlm.wrdsb.ca/school-council/school-council-agendas-and-minutes/ to see previous meeting agendas and minutes.  We would love for you to join us!

4.  Lost and Found – Be sure to stop in and take a look through our Lost and Found. It is full of winter clothing items, hoodies, jackets, shoes etc.  We’d love for these items to find their way back home!

5. School Council Popcorn Fundraiser – Kernels popcorn orders will be sent home today. Please note that the “Say Cheese” popcorn flavour has been back-ordered and will be delivered in the next 2 weeks. The “Say Cheese” bags will be sent home as soon as they arrive.

Thank you to all who helped to support our school by selling and purchasing popcorn.  Thanks also to all the parents who helped to organize, count and sort!

6. School Parking Lot – All parents are reminded that should NOT be using the parking lot before or after school.  The parking lot is for staff and child care only. Thanks for your help with this.

7. Upcoming Dates to Note:

  • May 24 – Last Day to Order Pizza/Cookies
  • May 24 – Popcorn Orders Go Home
  • May 25 – Jump to Pump for Heart and Stroke
  • May 28 – School Council Meeting at 6:30 pm in the Library
  • June 1 – PD Day – no school for students
  • June 6 – Rainbow Day – Wear Rainbow Colours to school to show your school spirit
  • June 15 – All Library and Home Reading Books are DUE
  • June 25 – Report Cards Go Home
  • June 26 – Primary Playday for Grades 1, 2 and 3 in the Morning
  • June 27 – Grade 6 Celebration from 9:10 to 10:30 am
  • June 28 – Last Day of School
  • June 28 – Canada Day – Wear Red and White and Canada Gear
  • June 28 – No Pizza/Cookies – Please bring a full lunch to school

~ How To-Order Guide for Pizza/Cookies:

  • Log-in to School-Day – https://www.school-day.com/
  • Click Products at the top of your Dashboard, then click June 2018 – Pizza Orders.
  • Select each DATE that you wish each child to have pizza using the drop down arrow within this Product and make note of how many slices of pizza and the topping you want for each given week. This ordering period covers 4 Thursdays including May 31, June 7, 14 and 21
  • Click add to cart
  • Select the next week from the drop down box
  • Use the drop down box for each of your children as well if you have more than one child that you are ordering for
  • If you wish to order cookies as well, go back to the products tab and Click on June 2018 – Cookie Orders and follow the same process as listed above to order pizza
  • Once you have added all your items, click the cart in the the top right corner of your screen to view all your selected items. Take a moment to review your order and make sure that your selections are correct.
  • Click Check Out to pay on-line or click Will Pay By Cash if you prefer to pay with cash. (For cash orders, send in the order number and the EXACT cash amount to school with your child by the order deadline – May 24th. Late orders cannot be accepted.)
  • NOTE: If your child is absent on pizza day, they will miss their order that day. The pizza and cookies will not be saved or re-distributed to friends or siblings.
