1.Thanksgiving Holiday: Monday, October 8th is the Thanksgiving Holiday which means a long weekend for staff and students!
2. Attendance: A reminder that the expectation for students is that they will be at school every day and will arrive on time. However, if you child is going to be absent or late, please call or email the Attendance Line and leave a message including the following information:
- The student’s name (please spell the last name)
- The teacher’s name
- The reason for the absence

3. Parking Lot: Please remember that our parking lot is for staff and visitors ONLY. For safety reasons, students are not to be dropped off or picked up in the parking lot. We want to keep everybody safe!
4. Williamsburg Morning Announcements – Parents, we post our daily announcements on our school website; this is an additional way to help keep you informed of our day to day happenings. 5. HERO GEMS Attribute for October – This month’s HERO GEMS attribute is RESILIENCE: “At Williamsburg, we show resilience! When faced with a challenge we will work to overcome it. When problems are small we have the tools to solve them. When problems are big we know how to get help.”

6. Upcoming Dates to Note:
- October 8 – Thanksgiving Day Holiday – No school
- October 18 to 25 – November Pizza/Cookie Orders Open on School-Day
- October 22 – Municipal Election Day. Gym closed to classes as Williamsburg is a polling station
- October 25 – Photo Re-take Day
- October 26 – PD Day – No school for students
