Today our staff had the opportunity to do some learning in the areas of Growth Mindset, Comprehensive Math Strategy and our School Improvement Plan. It was a full day of learning and collaborating!

 

The Comprehensive Math Strategy includes Learning Through Problem Solving, Purposeful Practice and Building Fluency. Many activities and strategies can be used with each of these components.

 

Growth Mindset is the belief that with hard work, effort and perseverance, everyone can learn. It is not about being smart or talented.

 

Growth Mindset also means that you replace negative fixed mindset thoughts (I can’t do it) with positive (I can’t do it YET).
