When we think of Neighbours Day, we think of neighbours and community partners coming together to enjoy a great time together. Saturday June 9th  will be no different in the Williamsburg Community!  http://williamsburgcommunity.ca/an-outdoor-movie-so-much-more/

We are very excited to be joining Tracy Valko again this year for the 3rd Annual Neighbours Day Movie in the Park in Max Becker Common.

Activities start – 6:00 p.m.
Movie Starts – Despicable Me 3 – 8:30 p.m. (or when the sun is down)
Bring your chairs and blankets for seating!

What will there be to do before the movie? The better question is, what isn’t there to do?! Before the movie, you can enjoy dessert food trucks, lots of prizes, games in the park such as giant twister, demo family music classes from Great Lakes Music Together,  a funny photo booth, a great scavenger hunt, an exciting dance performance and much, much more.

Bring a picnic, buy from a local restaurant (many have Neighbours Day specials), enjoy a food truck dessert from Mega Cone or Cafe du Monde Creperie or purchase some baked goods from our Williamsburg MetoWe club – they are raising money and canned food with a bake sale for the House of Friendship and the Food Bank.

Also on June 9th is Williamsburg’s Annual Community Garage Sale. It is as easy as 1-2-sell! Houses set up garage sales across the neighbourhood and we will promote and spread the word as much as possible. You can sign up your street or house so shoppers know where to go and what treasures they will find. Click here to access that list. The more houses and streets that participate the better! We figure it is a great way to gather some money to spend at movie night later that day 🙂
