Hello Parents,

Here are this week’s updates:

1. Last Pizza/Cookie Day – Today is our last pizza/cookie day of the year. Remember to send a full lunch with your child next Thursday on the last day of school.

2. Lost and Found – This is a final call for item pick-up from the Williamsburg Lost and Found. Any left-over items will be donated to charity as of Friday, June 29th. Teachers will take their classes to visit the lost and found and claim items during the last week of school. You are also welcome to stop in and have a look through the clothes, lunch bags and water bottles to see if you can find anything that belongs at your house.

3. Primary Play Day Tomorrow June 21st for Grades 1, 2, 3 – Here is some important information for our upcoming Primary Play Day:

  • If it’s raining the event will be cancelled
  • Apply sunscreen before your child comes to school. Do not send sunscreen to school.
  • Wear a hat, cool and comfortable clothing and sunglasses
  • Wear running shoes, no sandals or flip-flops
  • Send along a water-bottle labelled with your child’s first and last name
  • Send along a change of clothes in your child’s backpack in case they get wet or dirty while playing.

4. Important Information Regarding Class Lists – Waterloo Region District School Board is committed to keeping your children safe. To comply with privacy legislation, class lists will not be posted on the outside windows or doors of our school. Class information will be available via School-Day on the Labour Day weekend. Be sure you know your School-Day login and password.

5. Mabel’s Labels Fundraising – Do you need help with organization? Has your child lost various items this school year? Do you need a solution to customize labels for your items? 6. Are you moving? – We continue to work on developing the school organization for the 2019-2020 school year. To adequately plan and staff classrooms we need to have an accurate understanding of who will be attending our school in the fall. If you are moving, it is important to let us know and to register at the new school even if your child won’t be starting there until September. https://wlm.wrdsb.ca/forms/moving-form/

7. HERO GEM UPDATE – We continue to focus on respect for the month of June. Ask your child how finding things in common with others and/or giving put-ups can help us show respect to others.

  • June 20 – Gr. 5 End of Year Trip
  • June 21 – Gr. 4s and 6s End of Year Trip
  • June 21 – Primary Play Day
  • June 24 – Kindergarten Play Day
  • June 26 – Gr. 6 Celebration (9:15am)
  • June 27 – Canada Day at WLM – Wear Red and White and Canada Gear
  • June 27 – Last day of school and year end assembly
  • June 27 – No Pizza/Cookies – Please bring a full lunch to school
  • June 28 – PD Day
